MEMBERSHIP OPEN HOUSE & INSPECTOR BARBECUE

 

IBEW Local Union 11 and Los Angeles NECA Labor-Management Cooperation  Committee had their annual Inspector Barbecue this summer, combining it with a  membership open house at the Electrical Training Institute. This electrical industry event attracted over 500 electricians, contractors, inspectors, building officials, and   politicians for a great meal and an opportunity to see the new ETI.  Dignitaries like Los Angeles Mayor James Hahn, Los Angeles City Councilmember of the 14th District   Antonio R. Villaraigosa and Los Angeles City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo were among the many guests that toured the new facility. The tour offered demonstrations of       construction skills and  equipment use that are employed in teaching  apprentices and used in journeyman skill improvement courses. All that attended were impressed with the new facility and the training available to members.

GRADUATION

The Completion Ceremony for the 2004 graduates will be held at the Glendale Civic Auditorium on January 8, 2005.
