IBEW Local 11 members taking the ASAP Refinery Safety Overview (RSO) class may be reimbursed the cost by    

   submitting a copy of their dues receipt, the RSO card and the ASAP receipt to the Electrical Training Institute or to their District Office for forwarding to the ETI.

WELDING SCHOLARSHIP

 

A Welding Scholarship is available to Journey level Wireman members of Local 11.  This scholarship will allow you to take welding classes at a City College or Occupational Center in your area.  You must complete the Los Angeles  City Certification in welding for reimbursement of up to $250.00 of your costs.  The Certification process must be completed within two (2) years.  Scholarship are limited;  Call (323) 221-5881, or come by Commerce facility for a welding        scholarship request form.

 

HARD HAT DECALS

FOR STATE CERTIFIED UNION MEMBERS

 

Inside Wireman Journeymen, Transportation Systems Journeymen and Duty Specific, Sound Intercommunication      Installers and Residential Wiremen that have completed their State Certification exam are requested to bring or send a copy of their certificate to the Electrical Training Institute for recording.  Everyone that sends in a copy will receive a  hard hat decal stating ‘IBEW & NECA Trained—California State Certified”.

SAFETY CLASSES 

 

The Electrical Training Institute is offering Safety classes in Lead Safety Awareness – 8 hours, and Asbestos Safety Awareness – 16 hours. Completion of these classes allows you to work and drill holes on schools jobs. These classes are held on Saturdays and you can get information by calling the Institute at 323-221-5881.
